We usually allow our poultry to roam free outside to keep them happy & healthy. Due to current restrictions, it means we cannot allow our birds to roam free. We will return to this as soon as we are allowed.

Our chickens are Lincolnshire Buff, a local rare breed. It is important for us to ensure rare breeds are conserved for future generations.
Organic Standards
We are currently applying for full organic certification, and therefore we are proud to follow the organic standards required.

Massingberd-Mundy Turkeys
Our turkeys are farm-reared and pastured raised to official organic standards.
From the day they go outside; they are free to express all their natural instincts of foraging, flying and roosting up on high perches, just like our chickens. (Due to current circumstances, all our poultry are housed according to the guidelines).
Norfolk Blacks
Norfolk Black turkeys are thought to be the oldest breed of turkey in the UK.
As they are a slower-growing heritage breed, the meat has wonderful succulence and flavour and a turkey crown makes for the perfect option for your Easter, Christmas, or weekend table centrepiece. Our turkey legs can create a variety of delicious dishes for midweek meals.
Massingberd-Mundy Lincolnshire Buff Chickens
Our rare breed Massingberd- Mundy Lincolnshire Buff Chickens have been pasture-raised to official organic standards on South Ormsby Estate in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds.
Chicken is a firm family favourite for Sunday lunches, mid-week get-togethers and a great option for your Easter or Christmas table centrepiece.
Lincolnshire Buff Chickens
Lincolnshire Buffs were in rapid decline in the early 1900s due to the popularity of other breeds at the time.
Thankfully after a long battle to save the breed, the Lincolnshire Buff populations were finally stabilised in the late 1990s.
With our commitment to preserving rare native breeds like our Lincoln Red cattle, South Ormsby Estate chose to support conservation efforts and began breeding Lincolnshire Buff chickens in 2018.
